Medicine Shoppee

If you live around CIDCO Colony, you probably know where Shop No 17 is in the Ellora Complex. We opened Medicine Shoppee to serve the local families here. It’s just a small shop, but we try to keep most things in stock so people don’t have to travel far into the city. Sometimes we are rearranging the shelves or checking the expiry dates on the back to make sure everything is right. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they need something for a cough or their regular vitamins. We know most of the neighbors by name since they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a simple setup. We have the usual medicines and some general health stuff on the side like soaps and bandages. The counter is usually a bit messy with notes and orders, but we find what we need eventually. It's not like those big chain stores you see in the city malls. We’re just part of the Cidco neighborhood. If we don’t have something in stock, we usually try to get it by the next day for the customer. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most of the time. We’ve been through a lot of rainy seasons here in the complex and seen the shops change around us. It’s just a regular life running a shop in this part of town. We keep the doors open late most nights because you never know when someone might need something urgently for their family.
