Hotel Sundram Thali Restaurants

We are over in Garkheda, specifically in Sunder Plaza near Trimurti Chowk Road. Most people in the Jawahar Colony area know where we are because we have been around for a bit. We focus on serving thalis, which is what we have been doing since we opened the doors. It is a family-style place where people come for a heavy lunch or dinner during the work week. The restaurant isn't very big, and it can get a bit crowded on Sunday afternoons when local families come out to eat together. We have simple wooden tables and some basic decor on the walls that has been there for years. We don't have a menu with a hundred different items, just the daily thali with whatever vegetables are fresh at the market that morning. The kitchen is right at the back, and you can usually hear the clinking of plates and the smell of spices coming through the door. We don't use any fancy machines to cook the food, just regular pots and pans like you have in your own home. The staff are mostly local people from Aurangabad who have worked with us for a long time and know the regulars by name. We try to keep the floors swept and the water jugs full on every table so nobody has to wait. It’s a noisy, busy place where people come to eat quickly and then get on with their day. We don't do anything fancy here, just standard meals for the local crowd.
