You can find us at Kanti Patel Hall 3 Rasta. It’s a very busy spot. Cars and bikes are always honking at the junction. We sell all kinds of things here. It started small and we just kept adding more items as people asked for them. The shop gets very hot during the summer because the sun hits the front window directly. We use a small fan that rattles all day long. My cousin helps me out during the evenings when it gets crowded. We don't really have a set routine. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by. Other days, we can't even find time to eat lunch. The building is older, so the walls have some cracks and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. We don't mind it. It feels like home after being here so long. People from the nearby societies come by to chat as much as they do to buy things. We know most of the kids who grow up in this neighborhood. We keep the inventory on simple wooden shelves we built ourselves. There isn't any fancy lighting or displays. Just products in boxes and on hooks. It’s a basic shop for basic needs. We try to be fair and just get through the week. Dealing with change and counting the cash at night is the most boring part, but it has to be done. We close up around nine and walk home.
