If you go to the GIDC Industrial Area, you will find Rohan Dye Chem at Plot No.-3702. It is a massive area, and one plot looks a lot like the next. We have a good-sized space here. Since we deal with dyes and chemicals, the place has a certain smell to it, but you get used to it after ten minutes. It’s a busy environment with a lot of noise from the nearby units. There are always tempos and trucks parked along the road, making it hard to navigate sometimes. Our team is always on the move, checking the vats or moving drums around. The office is tucked into a corner of the building to keep the noise out. It’s mostly just files and a few computers. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes to the gate, one of us just goes out to see what they need. The GIDC is a world of its own. We’ve been at this plot for a long time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We are more concerned with the work itself. Lunch breaks are usually taken in shifts because the process can't really stop. It’s hard work, and it’s often hot inside the unit, but we get it done. We just want to do a decent job and get home to our families. It is a simple life in the industrial belt. We keep a small kettle in the office for tea and everyone brings their own lunch.
