Mayur Dye-Chem

Mayur Dye-Chem is based at Plot No. 4705-2-2 in the GIDC, not too far from Meghmani Chokdi. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We work mostly with dyes and chemicals, so things can get a bit colorful around the shop floor. Our building is a standard GIDC shed that we’ve modified over the years to fit our machines and storage needs. It’s not the most modern looking place, but it gets the job done. We have a small group of guys who handle the mixing and the packing. Usually, the day starts with checking what orders are priority for the morning. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished websites. We just rely on the work we do. The area near the chokdi is always moving, which is good for logistics but a bit of a headache for parking sometimes. We often have trucks waiting their turn to load up near the gate. It’s hot in the summer and the monsoon season brings its own set of problems with the roof leaks we have to patch up. But that is just life in an industrial estate. We keep our heads down and focus on the batches. It’s an honest living and we’ve been here long enough to know everyone on our street. We just try to get the orders out on time.
