If you go to the GIDC in Vijay Nagar, you will find Kk Ceramic End Engineering at Plot No-46/4. We are right near the Bank of Baroda branch, which is a good landmark for people who haven't been here before. The GIDC is a maze of similar-looking plots and warehouses. Our place is usually covered in a fine layer of white dust because of the ceramics we handle. It is just part of the job. We have a small office space at the front, but the real work happens in the back where the kilns and machinery are kept. It gets incredibly hot near the equipment, so we try to do the heaviest work early in the morning. The staff is mostly local guys who have been doing this for years. We don't have fancy uniforms or a polished lobby. There are usually some ceramic samples sitting on the windowsills gathering dust. The bank nearby means there is always some movement on the street. We often see the same faces every day at the small food stall on the corner. Our gate needs a bit of oil because it squeaks every time someone opens it. We keep saying we will fix it, but we always get busy with something else. It is a practical place where we focus on the material and the heat. We just get through the orders as they come.
