At Robin Fabrication Eng., we spend most of our hours at Plot No. K-1 7707-2. It’s a busy spot and you can usually hear us working from down the street. Fabrication isn't exactly clean work, so there’s always bits of scrap metal and the smell of cutting oil in the air. We’ve got a few welding machines and some heavy tables where we line everything up. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through. The walls are stained from years of work, and the floor has its fair share of scuffs. We don't have any fancy signs or a reception desk. Usually, if someone walks in, they just find one of us near the back and we talk right there. We take the jobs as they come, whether they’re big pieces or small fixes. It’s just us and the tools mostly. The plot number is a bit of a mouthful when you’re telling someone over the phone, but it’s where we’ve been for a while now. We keep a cooler of water in the corner and a radio that mostly just plays static. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just show up, do the metalwork, and lock up when the sun goes down. It's a basic way to earn a living but it suits us fine and keeps us out of trouble.
