Parth Engineers

We’ve been here at Plot No. 276/b for quite some time now. Most mornings start early with the sound of machines warming up. It's usually just a few of us in the shop, getting things ready for whatever work came in the day before. We deal with a lot of metal, grease, and drawings that sometimes make sense and sometimes don't. If you walk in, you’ll probably find someone hunched over a lathe or welding something in the corner. It gets pretty hot during the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. People around the neighborhood know where we are because we’ve had this spot for years. We aren't fancy. There’s a small desk with way too many papers on it and a kettle for tea that sees a lot of use. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just try to get the parts right so people don't have to come back twice for the same thing. Engineering isn't always clean work, but it’s what we know. We handle the tools, fix the broken bits, and make sure the measurements are where they should be. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but that’s the job. If we aren't at the workbench, we’re probably out back checking on a delivery or trying to find a specific wrench that someone misplaced again.
