Om Shanti Industries

Our place, Om Shanti Industries, is over at Plot No. C1-2525 in the Gidc Estate. It is a big space but it always feels a bit cramped because of all the equipment we have packed in there. We do a lot of general manufacturing work, so the machines are running almost constantly. The sound of the motors is like background music for us now; we barely even notice it anymore. We have a small crew of workers who come in from the nearby villages every morning. They are good people who know how to handle the heavy stuff. We’ve had this plot for a long time and the building has some cracks and stains, but it works for what we need. We don't spend money on making things look pretty when there is work to be done. Most days are spent watching the production line and making sure nothing gets jammed. If a belt snaps, we stop everything, fix it, and start again. It’s a simple cycle. We have a lot of regular customers who just drop by to check on their orders. We sit on plastic chairs and drink tea while we talk about the delivery schedules. There are no big speeches or complicated plans here, just the daily grind of making things and shipping them out to whoever ordered them. It’s just how life goes in the Gidc for us.
