At Mugat Dye-chem, we’re located in the middle of the Gidc Estate at unit 1923. Working in an industrial estate like this means things are always moving, trucks coming in and out, and the sound of machinery in the distance all the time. We handle various dyes and chemicals, which means our day-to-day involves a lot of checking containers and making sure everything is labeled right. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy tour, as it’s strictly a working environment. We’ve been here for a good while now and the neighbors are mostly other industrial units doing their own thing. The office part of our building is small, just enough space for a desk and the ledgers we use to keep track of orders. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, but that’s just life in Gidc, I suppose. We don't put on any airs about being a big corporation. We’re just a local outfit that knows our products and stays busy with the local manufacturing demand. People usually find us because they need something specific for their own production lines. We spend our mornings loading and our afternoons catching up on phone calls from suppliers. It’s steady work, and we like the routine of it. Most of the people working here have been with us for years, so we all know how the place runs without needing to say much. It keeps things simple for us.
