Krishna Engineering

Our shop is over at 4406 in the Gidc Estate, which is a big place if you don't know your way around. I’ve spent more hours here than I have at home some weeks. Most of the time, I’ve got grease on my hands or I’m looking for a tool that someone didn’t put back where it belongs. Krishna Engineering is basically just a group of us who know how to handle machines and get parts made. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just some desks, some heavy equipment, and a lot of scrap metal in the back. The floors are stained from years of oil leaks, but we keep the machines running smooth. Lunch is usually brought from home in tiffins, and we eat together near the main door where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s not a quiet job, that’s for sure. Between the lathes and the drills, you have to raise your voice just to be heard. Sometimes we get a rush of orders and we stay late into the evening, watching the sun go down over the industrial estate roofs. It’s hard work, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We don’t spend much on advertising because people usually find us through word of mouth or just by walking into the estate looking for help with a project.
