Sandhya Engineering

You can find us right next to Welking Engineer over at Plot 253 in the Gidc. We have been in this exact spot for a good number of years now, mostly doing general engineering jobs for the other businesses that operate around here. It is a lot of lathe work, cutting, and welding, so it is nothing too glamorous to look at. The shop stays pretty dusty from all the grinding and there is almost always a bit of oil on the floor, but that is just how a real workshop looks when people are actually working. We do not have a big corporate office area, just a small metal desk near the front gate where we keep the daily logs and the phone. Most of the time, the boss is out on the shop floor helping with a tricky repair instead of sitting behind a computer screen. We handle various repairs and make new parts when someone brings in a rough drawing or just a broken piece they need a copy of. It is steady work. The neighborhood is full of people doing similar metalwork, so we often help each other out with specific tools or extra materials when someone runs short. On some days, the power goes out in the whole block and we just sit outside on the benches and wait for it to come back on. We just focus on getting the measurements right so things fit.
