At Plot No. 6102-6103, Sajjan India Ltd. keeps things moving pretty steadily. This particular part of the facility handles a lot of the storage and some of the initial processing work. It’s a large space with high ceilings that echo whenever someone drops a tool or shouts across the floor. We try to keep things as clean as you can in a place like this, but there’s always a bit of grime on the machinery. The loading docks are almost always busy. You see the drivers waiting by their trucks, smoking or checking their phones until it’s their turn to pull up. We have a small crew dedicated to this section. Everyone knows their job and we don't need much supervision. We don't have any of those motivational posters on the walls. We just have the schedules and the safety notices. It’s a straightforward environment. We focus on the task at hand and try to avoid any downtime. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves if we can. The work isn't always exciting, but it’s consistent. We’ve been at these plots for years and we’ve seen the estate change quite a bit around us. New buildings going up and old ones getting knocked down. We just keep doing what we do. It’s about getting the numbers right and making sure nothing gets lost in the warehouse. We end the day when the last truck leaves.
