Umiya Industries is situated over at Plot No. 4405. It’s a straightforward place, nothing too complicated about it. We spend our time here doing the daily tasks that come with running an industrial spot. The space is filled with equipment and the various materials we use throughout the week. Sometimes it feels a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives, but we manage to shift things around to make room. The floor is usually busy from early morning. We don’t have a lot of decorative stuff on the walls or a big lobby. It’s just the workshop and the small area where we keep the records. The weather affects how the day goes; if it’s raining, we have to be quick about moving stuff inside so it doesn’t get wet. Working at Plot No. 4405 means being part of a larger community of workshops, so you hear the sounds of other businesses nearby all day long. It's a familiar environment for anyone who has worked in manufacturing. We try to keep our machines in good shape so they don't break down at the wrong time. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything running smoothly, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just do the work as Umiya Industries and try to get through the pile of orders we have sitting on the desk. Every day is pretty much the same, just steady work. We have a small radio that plays in the background.
