Shyam Dye Chem operates out of two plots here, 6919 and 6901. Having the space split up like that means we move back and forth quite a bit during the day, which can be a bit of a headache when it's raining. It keeps us on our toes, though. Plot No. C1B is a busy area with lots of trucks and noise from the nearby units, but it's where we need to be for the work we do. We deal with dyes and chemicals, mostly just processing and storage for the local market. The buildings aren't new by any means; they have some wear and tear and the paint is peeling in spots, but they serve the purpose. We spend a lot of time checking the stock levels in both 6919 and 6901 to make sure we don't run out of anything. It can get confusing for new delivery drivers because of the two separate numbers on the gate. Usually, we just tell them to look for the stacks of plastic barrels near the entrance. There’s a small office space tucked away in one corner where we keep the records and a very old computer. It's mostly just the staff here, so we don't worry about looking professional for visitors. We’ve been at this location long enough that the postman knows us by name. It gets really hot in the warehouse sections during the summer months. We have a few fans going, but it’s still tough work. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that.
