Maun Nitrochem is the name on the gate at Plot No. 6604. It’s a basic industrial plot, nothing more and nothing less. We spend most of our time in the back where the actual production happens. The front of the building has seen better days, maybe needs a fresh coat of paint, but it does the job of keeping the rain out most of the time. We have a few guys who have been with us since the beginning, and we just kind of know how each other works without having to say much at all. The mornings start with a walk-through to make sure no leaks happened overnight. It’s a lot of manual labor and making sure the gauges stay in the right zones. We don’t have a website or anything like that because most people who need us already know where to find us. The lunch breaks are usually taken together on some crates outside when the weather is nice enough. We talk about the cricket scores or just whatever is happening in the local news. It’s a simple life, really. We don't try to be something we’re not. We are just a group of people at Plot No. 6604 trying to do a good job so we can go home to our families at the end of the shift. The padlock on the gate is a bit rusty, but it still works well enough for us.
