Running Jay Khodiyar Chemicals at Plot No. C1B, 2513/C keeps us pretty occupied from Monday to Saturday. It’s a compact space, so we have to be organized, though if you saw my desk, you might not believe it. There are ledger books and pens scattered everywhere. We’ve been at 2513/C for some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial estate. The morning starts with a lot of noise as everyone in the block opens their shutters. We handle various chemical bits and pieces, and it’s mostly manual labor. There’s no high-tech automation here, just us using our hands and a few basic tools to get the job done. I usually spend my afternoons answering the phone and talking to the drivers who get lost looking for the 'C' section of the plot. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s honest. We don’t have a website with professional photos or anything like that. If you want to see what we do, you just have to come down to the plot and look for the yellow building. We try to be helpful when people walk in with questions, even if we’re in the middle of a big task. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, and the only light on the whole street is coming from our office window. It’s just how we run things, keeping it simple and focusing on the work right in front of us.
