We are located out in Angul, Orissa. Viraj Steel & Energy Ltd. has been part of this landscape for quite some time now. Angul is a heavy industrial area, so there is always something going on with the big plants and the trucks moving in and out. Our presence here is all about the steel and energy work we do on the ground. It is not a fancy office with glass walls. It is more of a practical base where we can be close to the actual operations. The air is often thick with the sound of machinery. We spend our days coordinating between the different sites and making sure the supplies are where they should be. It is a lot of coordinating and checking things over and over. We do not have a long list of goals or fancy slogans. We just work. The team here is used to the grit and the heat of Orissa. We grab lunch together and talk about the work. Sometimes things go wrong with the machines or the power, and we just have to handle it as it comes. It is a very hands-on type of environment. We do not bother with corporate talk. We just focus on the steel and the energy production. That is what we are here for in Angul. It is a tough town but we like the work we do every day.
