Scansteels Ltd

Scansteels Ltd. is based out of Angul, right in Similipada. We operate out of Shakti Enterprises, which is very close to National Highway 42. Being so near the highway is great for the trucks, but it means there is a constant sound of traffic in the background. You get used to the horns and the rumble of the engines after a while. Angul is a real steel town and we are glad to be right in the middle of it. Our office is a practical space. It isn't built for show. We have big tables where we spread out our plans and logs. Most of the day is spent talking to drivers and making sure the steel is moving like it’s supposed to. It’s a busy environment and things can get a bit messy when we have a lot of orders coming in. We don't have a polished corporate image or any of those "vision" statements. We just focus on the task at hand. The heat in Orissa can be tough, so we usually have a few cold drinks around. We have built good relationships with the other businesses in Similipada. It’s a community where people help each other out. We just show up, do our bit, and keep the wheels turning. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. That’s the way we like it. We have been in this spot for years and it suits us just fine.
