In Dhenkanal, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and that's how we like it here at Delhi Public School. We’ve been set up in this part of Odisha for some time. The school sits out where you can still see some trees and open space. People know the name, of course, but here on the ground, it’s just us teachers and the local staff trying to get through the syllabus. The classrooms are usually full, and the hallways get pretty noisy between periods. We have a big gate and a yard where the kids spend their breaks. Sometimes the dust kicks up when they play football, but no one seems to mind much. We don't have a marketing team; it’s mostly just the office staff handling the paperwork and us in the classrooms. Dhenkanal is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we often see parents at the local shops or during festivals. We try to keep the building tidy, though with so many students, there’s always a smudge on the wall or a desk that needs fixing. We spend our afternoons grading papers and planning for the next day. It’s a steady life. We aren't trying to be anything flashy. We just want to make sure the students in this part of Odisha get a fair chance at their lessons and a safe place to spend their day without any complications.
