Shree Gurukul Model School

Our school is over in Gadadharpur, Joda. Specifically, we are located in Shree Guru Vihar. It’s a busy part of Keonjhar because of all the mines and the industry around here. The school is a bit of an escape from all that noise and dust. We have a decent sized building where the students come every morning. It’s a model school, so we try to keep things structured and organized as best we can. The classrooms are filled with wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We have a playground that is basically just a flat patch of ground, but the kids love it anyway. The staff room is small and usually smells like tea. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets or fancy equipment. Most of our teaching is still done with books and talking. We get a lot of dust from the roads nearby, so there is a constant battle for us to keep the place clean. The students come from all sorts of different families in the Joda area. We know most of the parents by their first names. It’s not a fancy place with a big gate or security guards out front. Just a regular school where people work hard and kids try to learn their lessons. We keep the doors open and just get on with the business of the day without any fuss.
