Perfect Granites

We are out at 158, Chikka Hagade. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from the area, but we like the space we have. Most of the time it is just the sound of the machines and the trucks coming in. We handle a lot of granite blocks and slabs every single day. It is heavy, dirty work and your clothes are usually covered in stone dust by noon. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the number 158 on the gate. We’ve been working with stone for a long time, so we know which pieces are good and which ones have hidden cracks that will cause trouble later. Sometimes a customer wants something specific and we have to dig through the whole pile to find it. It takes time. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly hear about us from their neighbors or the contractors they hire. It’s a small operation here in Chikka Hagade. We have a couple of dogs that hang around the yard and watch the gate. The work is steady, though. Some days are slower than others, but there is always something to move or a slab that needs cleaning up. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the stone is ready when someone needs it. It’s a plain life, but the stone is beautiful if you look at it right.
