Shobha Lifestyle is located at 11-350 Church Street. It’s a nice enough street, though it gets very crowded on the weekends when everyone is out and about. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized and it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We don't have a fancy interior designer or anything like that. We just put things where they fit. My sister helps out on the weekends, and we usually spend half the time arguing about where the new stock should go. It’s a family-run kind of place in that way. We have a small radio that plays the local station all day long. The neighbors often pop in just to say hello or ask for a bit of change. We don't have a big corporate plan or a mission statement pinned to the wall. We just want to keep the shop open and see familiar faces every day. Some days the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we keep a bucket handy. It’s just one of those things you deal with. We like being on Church Street because there is always a sense of community. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we are still here, doing our thing one day at a time. It is a bit messy sometimes, but it feels like home to us.
