Krusheevala Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is located out in Velagavalasak.Mulaga. It’s a small place but we manage to get quite a bit done. Being a producer company means a lot of us farmers come together to figure out a good way to handle our crops. We don’t have any fancy marketing people or big corporate buildings. Most of our meetings happen right outside or in a small room when the sun gets too hot. We deal with whatever the land gives us each year. Sometimes the pests are a problem, and sometimes the prices aren't what we hoped, but we just keep going. Everyone knows everyone here. You walk down the road and you’ll see someone working their plot. We share what we know and try to help each other out with equipment or advice on seeds. It’s basic, honest work. The office at Velagavalasak is where we track the bags and make sure the accounts are mostly right. It gets a bit chaotic during harvest time, with trucks coming in and out, but that's when things are most exciting. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a group of people from the Mulaga area trying to make a living from the ground. It’s a quiet life mostly, except for the noise of the machinery. We just stay focused on the work and the season ahead of us. We have been here for years now and know the land.
