Akira Marbles Stones

You can find us over at plot 12 in the GIDC Estate. It’s an industrial area, so there are always sounds of hammers and engines running nearby. Akira Marbles Stones is basically a yard where we handle all kinds of stone work. It’s heavy work, mostly, and we spend a lot of time on our feet. The estate is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, but number 12 is pretty easy to spot once you're on the right street. We aren't really into marketing or having a polished look. We just have a bunch of stone slabs and the equipment to move them around. The guys here are used to the grind. We deal with the weather, whether it's the pouring rain making things slippery or the sun beating down on the yard. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that hanging on the wall. We just show up, see what needs to be cut or moved, and get on with it. It’s a bit cluttered sometimes because marble takes up a lot of room, but we know where everything is. It’s just a local spot in the GIDC where we do our trade. We’ve been here for years and the routine hasn't changed much. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy every day of the week.
