Alisha Stone Co. is out in Bhuvel Village, which is part of the Khambhat Taluka. We are very close to the State Bank of India, so if you find the bank, you’ve basically found us. Being in a village like Bhuvel means life moves a bit differently than in the big cities. We work with stones all day long. There are different sizes and types cluttering up our space. You can hear the sound of stones being moved or cut from quite a distance. It’s a local business through and through. Many of the people who work here live just a short walk away. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. Usually, it's just the sound of the trucks and the dust in the air that tells you you’re in the right spot. Khambhat has a long history with this kind of work, and we are just one part of that. We handle the stones, talk to the drivers, and try to keep things organized, even though the yard often looks like a mess to an outsider. Sometimes the cows from the village wander near the entrance, and we have to shoo them away. It’s just a normal part of our day. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our job in Bhuvel and make sure the stones get to where they need to go without any big problems or delays for the people buying them.
