Super Protection Security Services Pvt.Ltd. operates out of Room No 7 in a chawl on Old Nagar Das Road. It’s right there in Andheri East, Mumbai. If you know the area, you know it’s crowded and always buzzing with people. Our office is small, just a room really, but it’s where we coordinate all our security guards. We have people stationed all over the city, but this is the home base. It’s a bit of an old building, a typical Mumbai chawl, so it gets a bit cramped when the guards come in for their shifts or to pick up their pay. There’s always a ledger on the table and a few chairs that have seen better days. We don’t have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works most of the time. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure everyone is at their post. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it from this same spot for years. The neighborhood knows us well. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get through the street outside, but we manage. We aren’t a big fancy firm with a glass building. We are just local people providing security for other local businesses. It’s a busy life in Andheri, and we are just trying to keep things safe and orderly from our little room on Teen Chawl. We handle the schedules and make sure every site is covered. It's a lot of coordination on old cell phones and pieces of paper. We don't need a polished office to do a good job.
