Restaurant 2000

You can find our place, Restaurant 2000, at number 69 in the Krishna Township, specifically in the Vanuia Wad area of Nadiad. We have been here in Gujarat for quite some time now. Running a restaurant is not exactly easy work, but it certainly keeps us busy from morning to night. The day starts very early with getting fresh ingredients and making sure the kitchen is ready for the first customers. Nadiad is a nice enough town, not too big and not too small either. We see a lot of the same people every single week. The township is a decent place for us to be located. We do not have any fancy waiters in uniforms or expensive decor on the walls. It is just a place to sit down and eat. Sometimes the stove acts up or a delivery is late, but we just figure it out as we go. We spend most of our time in the back where the cooking happens. The smell of spices is always in the air here. We like to keep things pretty simple. If you want a meal, you come in and sit down. There is no need for anything more complicated than that. We have had some of the same staff for many years now. We are just local people serving other local people in the neighborhood. The 387001 area is our home. We know all the neighbors and the other shop owners on the street. It is a lot of standing on your feet and washing dishes. But at the end of the day, it is a good way to make a living. We do not plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
