We operate out of H No. 1-28 in Narsingapalli, which is part of Srirampuram in the Golugunda area. It’s a bit of a drive from Visakhapatnam, but this is where the farming happens. Our group is called Golugonda Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited. We’ve got a lot of local farmers involved from around Narsipatnam and the surrounding villages. It’s a quiet place for the most part, but we keep busy with the crops. We aren't a big business with a bunch of investors; we're just neighbors working together. Some of us have been farming this land for generations. We decided to form this company to make things a bit more organized. Sometimes the government rules are a bit confusing, but we help each other figure it out. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a practical space where we can meet and talk. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it’s seeds or helping with the harvest. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for our families. Most days you'll find a few of us sitting outside the office in Narsingapalli catching up on news. We know every corner of this mandal. We just want to make sure the farmers here get a fair shake. It’s a long-term thing for us, building something that stays in the community and helps our kids later on. We stay focused on the work at hand.
