Kochar Overseas Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Kot Mit Singh on Tarn Taran Road. Being away from the middle of the city gives us the space we need to handle our shipments. We have a large yard and a warehouse that takes up most of the property. The office part is just a small section at the front. It’s built from brick and has a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains. We have a few desks and a very old filing cabinet that squeaks every time you open it. The air is often filled with the sound of the nearby road and the occasional tractor. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a lot of rules about what to wear, as long as you're ready to get a bit of dust on your clothes. The work is mostly about coordinating the movement of goods. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. It’s not the kind of job where you sit still for long. We take our breaks under the big tree in the corner of the yard when the weather is nice. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. We focus on getting the tasks done and making sure the orders are shipped out on time.
