We've been here at Vallah Mehta Road for quite some time now. People mostly know us as the place to get their trucks and loads weighed properly. It’s a computerized scale, so things are pretty straightforward when you drive up to the platform. Most days start very early because the road gets busy with heavy traffic coming and going. We just sit here in the office, keep an eye on the display, and hand out the weight slips. It isn't a fancy setup, just a practical one for the drivers who need to know their weight before heading out on long trips. Sometimes the internet acts up or the dust from the road gets everywhere, but we manage to keep things running. My cousin helps out when I need a break for lunch. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly local guys hauling stuff. It’s quiet in between the big trucks, which gives us time to drink some tea and chat with whoever is waiting around. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the scale and the small cabin where we work. If you're heading down Mehta Road, you'll see us right there by the side. It’s honest work, keeping the machine calibrated and making sure the numbers are right so nobody gets into trouble later on. It gets hot in the summer out here, but that's just how it is. We try to keep things moving fast so the road stays clear.
