K. S. Agro Export

Our office and warehouse are at No. 10 Brahm Nagar on Lawrence Road. It’s a busy part of the city, and the traffic outside can be a real headache some days. K. S. Agro Export is mostly about the logistics of moving crops from one place to another. We spend a lot of time on the telephone, talking to drivers and people at the ports. The space is filled with the smell of dried grains and spices, which sticks to your clothes by the end of the day. There are always stacks of sacks waiting to be loaded onto the next truck. We don't have a big fancy lobby for visitors. Usually, if someone comes by, they just stand in the doorway or sit on one of the crates while we talk. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to worry about that. We focus on the labels and the weight certificates because that’s what gets the goods across the borders. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking the same forms over and over again. We started small in this neighborhood and just stayed put. It’s convenient for the workers and the suppliers know where to find us. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, even if it gets a bit frantic during the peak season.
