R. K. Overseas

Our office for R. K. Overseas is over on Batala Road, near P. O. Khanna Nagar. It’s a busy part of the city with lots of noise from the bikes and cars. We handle trade that goes far away, though we are just a small team here. The office is in a spot that’s easy for the courier guys to find, which is good because we send out a lot of documents. We don’t have a big corporate feel. It’s mostly just us at our desks with the windows open to catch a breeze. Batala Road can be a bit of a mess during rush hour, but we are used to it by now. We deal with a lot of different products, whatever the market is asking for at the time. We spend a lot of our day on the phone or checking emails to see where the shipments are. It isn't always easy work, especially when there are delays at the ports, but we manage. We don’t promise things we can’t do. We just tell the customers the current status and go from there. The building is old but solid. We’ve decorated the inside with some simple furniture and a lot of maps. It’s just a place where we work hard and try to keep the business going every day. Most of the people we deal with have been with us for years.
