Parth Impex

Our place, Parth Impex, is on the 1st Floor of 4-Kashmir Plaza, right on Batala Road. Being on the first floor is better than the ground floor because we don't get all the street dust inside, but we still hear everything. Batala Road is never quiet. There is always someone shouting or a truck pulling air brakes right outside the window. The plaza itself has been here for ages, and you can tell by the way the floorboards creak in certain spots. We have a few rooms where we keep our samples and do the billing. It is a bit cramped when more than three people are in the hallway at once. We usually have the fans going full blast because the air doesn't move much in this building. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, so we all know each other’s business. If the delivery guys are new, they usually get lost looking for the right entrance in the plaza, so one of us has to go down to the street and wave them in. It is a lot of manual work, carrying things up and down those stairs. My knees definitely feel it by the end of the day. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs for people to sit on while they wait for us to find their paperwork in the filing cabinet.
