Down here in Khankhijadai, which is near Amreli in Gujarat, you’ll find our place, Ultratech Concrete Baroda. The name says Baroda, but our actual site is tucked away in this part of the state. We’ve been operating from this location for quite a bit. The weather here can get pretty intense, especially in the summer, but the concrete doesn't wait. We have a small crew that knows the roads around Amreli like the back of their hand. We aren't much for sitting in offices. Most of the time we are out checking the mixers or talking to the drivers. It’s a straightforward business. We provide the concrete, and the builders do their part. There’s a lot of building going on in this corner of Gujarat lately. We try to stay on top of the orders, even when things get hectic. Sometimes a truck breaks down or the supplies arrive late, but that's just how it goes. We don't make big promises we can't keep. People just want their material on time and that’s what we aim for. The yard is usually covered in gray dust, which is normal for this kind of work. We’ve been here long enough that the locals know us by name. It’s a decent living. We focus on the daily tasks and try to keep things running smooth without too much fuss or complicated paperwork.
