Shyam Dining Hall

If you are coming from the ST Depot in Amreli, you just have to look across the street and you will see us on the first floor. We have been here for years serving basic meals to travelers and locals. Since we are right near the bus station, we see a lot of people who are just passing through town. They usually want something quick before their next bus leaves. The dining hall is a simple setup with long tables and chairs. We do a traditional thali mostly. The food is like what you would get at home, not oily or too spicy. We don't have a big menu with a hundred items. We just make a few things every day and serve them fresh. You have to climb the stairs to get to us since we are not on the ground floor. It's a bit of a walk up but it gets you away from the dust of the main road. The windows look out over the depot area so you can keep an eye on the buses. We don't have fancy lights or soft music. It is more about the clinking of spoons and people talking. Most of our workers have been here a long time. They know the routine well. We open early and close after the dinner rush is over. It's a plain place for people who just want a decent meal at a fair price. We don't have any big plans, just to stay open.
