Soft Tech

Up on the first floor of Scf-8 in Vikash Vihar, that’s where you’ll find Soft Tech. The stairs are a bit steep, so you have to watch your step. It’s not a huge space, just enough room for the desks and a small corner for the kettle. We’ve been here long enough that the walls could use a new coat of paint. Being in a shopping complex means there’s always something going on downstairs. You hear the motorbikes and people shouting their orders. It keeps things from getting too quiet. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a handful of us trying to stay on top of our tasks. The sunlight hits the windows quite hard in the afternoon, so we keep the blinds down mostly. It gets a bit stuffy in the summer, but the fan works well enough. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone knocks, whoever is closest to the door gets up. It's a casual kind of place. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or talking through problems. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. The guy who runs the shop below always says hello. It’s just a normal office in a normal neighborhood. No frills, no fancy furniture. Just a place to work and get through the week. We like it fine this way. It works for us.
