S. G. Science House

You can find S. G. Science House over in Bengali Mohalla, specifically at 1083-84, Alu Godown. It is a bit of an unusual spot, being near the godown, but it works for what we do. We have all kinds of science equipment and lab supplies packed into the space. It can look a bit confusing if you aren’t used to it, with glass tubes and beakers sitting next to boxes of chemicals. We try to keep it all sorted, but when a big delivery comes in, the aisles get a bit narrow for a few days. The Mohalla is a lively place to be, and there is always something happening outside. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure nothing is broken. It is delicate work handling glassware all day. We aren't some big high-tech firm. We are just a local house that supplies schools and labs with what they need to do their experiments. Sometimes we sit around the desk and have a chat when things are quiet, but usually, we are packing boxes or writing out invoices by hand. The building is old and has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. It’s just a steady, honest way to make a living in a busy part of town.
