Blue Bird High School

Sector 16 in Panchkula is a relatively quiet part of town, which is where you’ll find our school. It is tucked away from the main commercial hubs, so the surroundings are mostly houses and a few parks. We have a green gate that everyone recognizes. The school building has several floors, and the stairs can be a bit of a workout if you have to go up and down them all day. Our classrooms are simple, with rows of desks and green boards that are often covered in chalk dust. During the winter, the sun hits the courtyard just right, and it is the best place to stand for a few minutes to warm up. We have a small playground where the grass is a bit patchy in places because of all the games played there. The staff works in a shared room where there’s always a bit of chatter about the lesson plans or the latest school events. Sometimes the printers act up, or we run out of chalk, and we have to scramble to find more. It’s just the normal, everyday stuff that happens in a local school. Parents often stop by the gate for a quick word with the staff during pick-up time. We don't have anything too flashy, just a solid building where we come to work and the kids come to spend their day. It feels like a very integrated part of the Panchkula neighborhood.
