We are based at House Number 2914 in Kachha Bazar, which is right in Ambala Cantt. If you know the area, you know Kachha Bazar is a very busy spot with lots of shops and people moving around all the time. The Punjab Information Communication Technology Corporation Ltd office is tucked away here. It’s an old building, and the stairs are a bit steep. Inside, it’s a mix of old furniture and some newer computer stuff. It’s a bit of a contrast. The street outside is narrow, so you can’t really bring a car right to the door. Most of us just walk or use a cycle. The noise from the market is always there in the background, but we don’t really notice it anymore. It’s a very human place to work. We talk to the shopkeepers next door and grab lunch from the local dhabas. The office itself is a bit cluttered with files and boxes, but it’s a working office, not a museum. It gets pretty cold in the winter, so we all wear heavy sweaters while we sit at our desks. We like being in the heart of Ambala Cantt. It feels like we are right where the action is. It’s not fancy, but it’s our home base. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to ask a question, which keeps things interesting.
