J.K. Steel & Allied Industries is located on Mugal Majra Road in Alour. It’s a bit of a drive out there, away from the main city buzz. The road can be a little bumpy depending on the season, especially after the rains. Our facility is pretty large because steel takes up a lot of room. It’s not just the steel, but all the other allied stuff we keep on hand. The air smells like iron and grease most days. We have a crew that’s been with us for a long time, so we all know how the machines sound when they are running right. Alour is a quiet enough place except for the industrial noises. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a script. Usually, someone just picks up and helps you out. The office is just a small room at the front with a few chairs and a calendar on the wall. We spend more time out on the Mugal Majra Road side moving things around than we do sitting inside. It’s hard work and it gets dirty, but that’s the nature of the industry. People around here know us as the place on the road that stays open late sometimes to get the trucks out. It’s a simple operation, nothing too complicated about how we run things day to day.
