About Unitru Punches – Metals & Minerals in Ambala
Our workshop is over in Phase 1 of the Industrial Area, right at number 280. It's a loud part of town, but that's how it is when you're making punches and tools. We spend a lot of time around machines. Usually, the air smells like oil and cold metal. It’s not the cleanest place, but it's where we work. Making things that other companies use in their own shops is our main thing. It’s practical work. By lunch, my hands are usually a bit greasy. Computers aren't used much unless we really have to. Most of the day involves checking measurements and making sure the steel is right. Having been here quite a while now, you get used to the noise of the neighboring units after a few weeks. Occasionally we have to stay late to finish a batch of punches because someone needs them by morning. That is just how things go. No big signs or fancy offices can be found here. Just the workshop floor and some heavy equipment. People just drop by when they need something specific made. Keeping the machines running and the orders moving out the door is the goal. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here in Phase 1. Nothing more to it than that. We just work with metal and try to keep things moving along steadily.
