Dhiman Engg. Works

We are over at Plot No. 125 in the Phase-1 Industrial Area of Saha. It’s a HSIIDC area, so it’s mostly factories and workshops around here. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains. Inside our shop, we have the lathes and the milling machines set up. Our mornings are spent setting up the tools for whatever job came in. It’s an engineering place, so there’s a lot of measuring and checking. There isn't a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and you’re right there where the work happens. The smells of coolant and cut metal are always around. Sometimes the lights stay on late if a part needs to be finished for someone picking it up the next morning. Being in a quiet industrial area is a nice change from the city. We get our tea from the stall down the road. Most of us have been working here together for quite some time, so we know each other's habits. The building is a standard industrial shed. It does the job. Machines are kept clean, even if the rest of the place has that worked-in look. It’s just a honest day of work for us at Dhiman Engg. Works. Not much advertising happens here, mostly people just hear about us from other shops in Saha.
