The workshop is at 179, Model Town. If you walk by, you’ll probably hear the sound of grinders or the clink of metal being moved around. We do a lot of fabrication and engineering work here. It’s not a clean job; there’s always iron filings on the floor and the smell of welding in the air. We have a few big machines that take up most of the space, so we have to be careful where we walk. Most of our day is spent looking at drawings and trying to figure out the right way to put a piece together so it stays put. We’ve been in Model Town for quite a while, and the neighbors are mostly used to the noise by now. We make parts for other factories or sometimes just fix things that have broken down. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually stained with grease or oil, but that’s the nature of being an engineer. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we do, they just come into the shop and look at what’s on the bench. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought because a weld doesn't sit right or a part is slightly off, so we just stay late and fix it. It’s about being precise with the tools we have and making sure the stuff we build actually works. It's honest labor and we're proud to do it every day.
