Shri Vishnu Refractories Ltd. is situated in the Old Industrial Area, right near the Govt. Polytechnic College. Being near the college means we see a lot of students walking by every day, which keeps the area feeling a bit younger despite this being an old industrial zone. Our work involves refractories, so it’s a lot of bricks, castables, and heat-resistant materials. The yard is usually stacked with pallets and the air often has that dry, earthy smell of clay and minerals. It’s a tough environment, especially when we are loading up heavy materials for transport. The buildings around here have seen better days, and ours is no different, with a few cracks in the walls and a roof that we’ve patched up a few times. Inside the office, it’s mostly just filing cabinets and old wooden desks. We don’t spend much on decor because we’d rather focus on what is happening in the production area. It gets quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the surfaces, but it never stays clean for long. Most of the people who work here have been with us for years, so we all know the routine by heart. We don’t have any slick marketing or a team of salesmen. People know where the Old Industrial Area is and they find their way to us when they need refractory supplies. It’s a simple, hardworking place that hasn’t changed much over the decades.
