You can find us at Kala Kuan in Aravali Vihar, which is a decent part of Alwar to be based in. We deal with steel supplies and it’s mostly just a lot of logistics and talking to people on the phone. The office at 2/120 is where we spend most of our hours, surrounded by stacks of files and the smell of ink. Alwar can be quite dusty, and the wind coming off the hills often brings that dust right through the windows if we aren't careful. We aren't a massive corporation with glass walls; it is more of a practical space where we can sit down and get the job done. Most of our days involve checking prices and coordinating with drivers who are moving material across Rajasthan. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the internet goes out or the power cuts, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. That is just how it is here. We have a few regulars who stop by for a chat or to settle their bills, and we always have a kettle ready for tea. Being in Aravali Vihar is nice because it’s not as chaotic as the main market area, but we are still close enough to everything we need. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders, as long as the steel gets delivered and the numbers add up.
