We are located right opposite Gopal Talkies in Alwar, in a building called Ameria House. Having the movie theater right across the street means there is always people moving around and plenty of noise, which keeps things interesting. This part of Rajasthan can get incredibly hot in the summer, so the office is our main refuge during the middle of the day. At Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, we focus on the local operations here, making sure everything runs as smoothly as it can. The building itself is a bit older and has that typical Alwar feel to it. We don't really have a marketing team or anyone to polish up how we sound. We’re just a group of people who know a lot about steel and how to move it. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop by the office. It can be a bit chaotic when several things happen at once, but we’ve learned to just take it one step at a time. We don't make things more complicated than they need to be. If someone needs information about a project, we look it up in the files and give them a straight answer. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We like the fact that we’re right in the center of town where we can see what’s going on. It’s a honest day’s work in a town we know well.
