H.S. Engineering Works

H.S. Engineering Works is located at H-1/843 in the Riico Industrial Area. This is Phase-III, so it’s surrounded by a lot of other factories and sheds. The roads around here are a bit rough, especially after the monsoon rains. We get to work early before the sun gets too hot for the heavy machines. The industrial area has a specific feel to it, with trucks constantly backing in and out of narrow lanes all day. Inside our unit, it's all about the metalwork. We have various machines lined up and enough floor space to move materials around. It’s a bit dark inside even with the overhead lights on. We have a small corner for the paperwork, but most of our time is spent on the shop floor itself. The air smells like burnt metal and oil most of the time. We don't have a fancy reception area for visitors. If someone comes to see us, they usually just walk right into the middle of the work and shout for someone. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail. We know the other shop owners in Phase-III and we sometimes borrow tools or help each other out. At the end of the day, we lock up the big sliding doors and head home. The place is quiet then, just waiting for us to start again the next morning. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but we get the jobs done.
