Agarwal Steels is located in Ward No 10, right in the Purani Anaj Mandi area of Khairthal. This part of Mandawar is always buzzing with activity because of the old grain market nearby. You can hear the sounds of tractors and carts moving around all day long. We deal with steel, so our yard is full of heavy beams and sheets stacked up high. It is a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We have a small office where we sit and talk to people who come in. Most of the time we are outside checking the inventory or helping load up a truck. The ground is covered in metal scraps and bits of wire. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is where we work. We have grown used to the smell of the market and the way the sun hits the steel piles in the morning. Sometimes we share a meal together in the back room when things slow down. Khairthal is a small place and everyone seems to know everyone else here. We have been part of this market for a long time. Our neighbors at the mandi are good people. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done. It is a basic operation but it keeps us busy from morning until night.
