Periyar Rocks

Periyar Rocks is located right by the Neeleeswaram Junction in Kottamam, Kalady. It’s a busy spot, and we are right in the middle of it. We deal with rocks and stone, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. The yard is usually full of material waiting to go out. We’ve been here at this junction for a long time. People around Kalady know the sound of our machines. It is a lot of hard work, especially when the sun is out and it gets really hot. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Most people just pull up their trucks and tell us what they need. We do our best to get them loaded up and back on the road. Sometimes the equipment acts up, and we spend the whole day fixing a conveyor or a motor. It’s just part of the life here. We aren't interested in being some big corporate name. We are just local people working with stone. The area around Neeleeswaram Junction has changed over the years, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way. If you need rocks, we are right here by the road. We try to keep a good stock so we don't disappoint anybody. Just simple people working here.
